Bait-and-Switch Boss: The Ink Demon's week starts with Boyfriend facing a cardboard cutout in a rap battle, with the cutout doing nothing while Boyfriend sings the notes of the piano instrumental.An Axe to Grind: Sammy's got his trademark axe, and throws it at BF at the end of 'Ritual', leading to a One-Hit Kill if it isn't dodged.

Nightmare Bendy is ridiculously fluid compared to everyone else in the game, with a smooth idle animation and seamless transitions into each of his poses.Boyfriend's sprites have a bit of extra fluidity to them, most notably his hair, which now moves with his idle rather than staying static.all lowercase letters: Sans speaks entirely in lowercase, as per both Undertale and Deltarune.Here, he goes out of his way to antagonize Boyfriend throughout the first week, going against Mugman's advice to not commit any violence via Self-Serving Memory. Adaptational Jerkass: While Cuphead's prone to going over his head without thinking of the consequences like in The Cuphead Show!, he's rarely ever outright malicious in his actions.At the end of 'Knockout,' BF runs when Cuphead starts shooting, and during 'Nightmare Run,' he runs for his life when Bendy starts chasing him. In Indie Cross, he's fully aware of the danger in his adventure and knows when to book it when things get serious.

Adaptational Intelligence: Canonically, BF is too dumb to know when enough is enough.

Adaptational Badass: Boyfriend not only fends off the Butcher Gang for quite a while, but he almost completely shrugs off one of Ink Bendy's attacks.

Adapted Out: Girlfriend only has a small, incredibly easy to miss cameo in the mod's introductory cutscene she's completely absent otherwise, and Boyfriend is the only FNF character present.
